The Cipherlab 1564 Bluetooth Cordless 2D Imager Barcode Scanner is able to read high density 1D barcodes at 3 mil resolution and 2D barcodes. It connects with the communication stand from a Bluetooth range of 90 meters (295 feet) away.

Imager Barcode scanners take an image of the barcode and can therefore read a barcode in any direction on a surface.  Imagers are better able to read light or faded barcodes.
