The range of the Cipherlab Bluetooth Laser Scanner (Long range Scanner) is 90 metres line of sight from its base. It can hold up to 256 scans in reserve when it goes out of range. It can be programmed to switch into batch mode by simply scanning a barcode which comes on a programming sheet supplied with the scanner. Then in the batch mode, the scanner is capable to record over 30,000 scans. On a full charge, the battery can last for 24 hours @ 1 scan per 5 seconds

Laser Barcode Scanner has a laser beam which oscilates from left to right. It is better able to scan in direct sunlight than a Linear Imager barcode and is able to read wide and distant barcodes.
